Al-Mansouri Grand Mosque
The Grand Mansouri Mosque is one of the most important tourist attractions in Lebanon and in Tripoli in particular.

The mosque is located near tripoli’s famous citadel, souks al-Sagha and Attarin, in the heart of the Old City. The mosque is of great historical importance, as it is the oldest and largest mosque in Lebanon, with an area of 3,000 square metres.

The great Al-Mansouri Mosque dates back to 693 Ahdi, on the ruins of an ancient church, only the tower and the main gate remained gothic. The Mansouri Mosque is simple to build, and there are not many inscriptions and decorations, but it is still the most important religious center in Tripoli, as well as in Lebanon.
